About Me: Welcome to a brand new school year everyone.  I am excited to work with our junior high students!

I began teaching in December of 2000 at a school not too far from Rochester. I was blessed to work with many incredible students possessing learning disabilities for a period of five years.  My husband and I then moved to Madison, Mississippi where I was a teacher and director of a small, private school specifically designed for students with disabilities.  We had the fortunate opportunity to be brought back "home" and in 2008, we moved to Rochester. Yet another blessing in my life.....being accepted into the AQ family.

What is my role here at AQ?

I provide academic intervention services primarily in the areas of math and ELA by pushing into various classes and/or pulling out students throughout the school day.  I work with such incredible teachers who welcome me into their rooms so often.

I also teach a course called Enrichment for both 7th and 8th grade.  The class works on study skills, organizational skills, project/exam prep and primarily reviews math and ELA content on a daily basis.  We play review games with academic material and also try to take one day each week to regroup, talk about  concerns, what we can help each other with, and how we can continue to support one another as the school year progresses.

I also take care of arranging for test accommodations for students in the junior high.

In addition, I head the AQJH yearbook committee.  This will be my fifth year doing so :)
