2013 Scholar Athletes of the Year

On Wednesday, February 6th, six Aquinas students signed to D1 or D2 colleges. They were joined by family, friends, team-mates and coaches who have supported their dreams to play D1 and D2 sports and will continue to do so throughout their college careers. These students over the last 4 years have excelled not only on the sports field but also in the classroom. We are very proud of each of their accomplishments here at Aquinas, and look forward to watching their growth and success in the years to come. Jackie Moyer, a scholar athlete and 3 time AGR honorable mention, will be attending division 1 Niagara University for cross country and track. Aarika Kaester, a first team independent league player, will be attending division 2 Queens University of Charlotte for Lacrosse. Aarika is the first female to sign from Aquinas in the sport of lacrosse. Billy Lombardi, an AGR honorable mention and a football sectional final MVP, will be attending division 1 Penn State University for lacrosse. Emily Daley, a 2011 defender of the year and private parochial first team player, will be attending division 2 University of Tampa for Soccer. Christian Harris, a private parochial all-star and ODP player, will attend division 2 Lincoln University for soccer. Both Christian and Emily won coaches awards in 2012 for their dedication to not only the sport but for their team-mates as well. Jordan Allen, an international soccer player and AGR player of the year in 2010, will attend the division 1 University of Virginia to play soccer.
