Welcome to the Aquinas Junior High. On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration, I wish to extend greetings to all of you as we begin the 2012 - 2013 school year.
The Fathers of the Congregation of St. Basil founded the Aquinas Institute with a philosophy that students must be educated to achieve their highest potential through the motto of teach me goodness, discipline, and knowledge. Further, the laws of the Church dictate that academic excellence is an essential element of the Catholic character of our school. Using these principles, our dedicated educators have provided a superior academic and spiritual foundation to generations of area students for more than 100 years.
Aquinas Junior High, a community in the best sense of the word, is a powerful assemblage of students, teachers, staff, parents and alumni united by a commitment to our core value of development of the student and the whole child. The curriculum addresses intellectual, emotional, aesthetic, physical, moral and ethical development. Teachers combine their knowledge with students' special interests to promote an academically stimulating environment.
Junior high school is an important time in a young person’s life. Our students will have wonderful experiences, be challenged academically, socially, and spiritually and have great opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. I embrace the opportunity to work with parents and staff to provide our students with tools which will aid them throughout their school years and beyond.
If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely yours,
Mr. Bryan D. Mooney
