AQUINAS JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Community Service and Retreat Program
At AQJH we believe that service to others is an important part of educating the whole student. All AQJH students participate in a school-wide service project each spring. Service is to a local community organization that provides programs to children and teens. All students make an annual retreat as well. Seventh graders make a half day retreat in January and eighth graders make a full day retreat in the spring.
Aquinas Junior High is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence for all of our students and that begins with the soul. While we are a diverse school community with people from a variety of faiths we are one community. Students are given an opportunity to explore the teachings of Jesus Christ through service to others and discovery of self with through our retreat program. Each day at AQJH begins with a student-led prayer. We celebrate mass together with the high school every month and also have a junior high “teaching” mass at the beginning of each year.
