Dance

Express yourself through dance! The Aquinas Dance Program is a shimmering tapestry of movement and expression, offering students a kaleidoscope of opportunities to immerse themselves in an art form not offered by many other schools. From contemporary to jazz, and modern dance styles, students are invited to explore a diverse range of techniques and genres; each step unlocking a new realm of creativity and self-discovery.

The program's vibrant spirit is contagious, with every class and performance pulsating with energy. Whether students dream of dancing professionally or simply revel in the sheer joy of movement, our professional dance educators offer a nurturing and inspiring environment where students can flourish, grow, and find their rhythm on and off the stage.

The Aquinas Dance Program offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing students from grades 6 – 12. Our Middle School curriculum includes intro dance classes, as well as classes focusing on rhythm-based dance styles such as African, Tap, Step, and Hip-Hop. Our High School curriculum offers four levels of dance education; exploring dance history and modern techniques. In addition to our fundamental dance courses, we offer a performance-based course in both the Middle School and High School called Dance Company. Students enrolled in Dance Company experience contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop styles, with student choreography opportunities within. All dance students’ participation and hard work culminates with a dance performance during the school year. Our facilities boast two state-of-the-art performance venues, featuring an expansive 850-seat theater as well as an intimate black box theater.
