Admissions Process FAQs

The goal of the Aquinas admissions process is to not only determine acceptance, but to also create an academic program where a student can be successful at Aquinas, no matter what grade he or she is looking to enter. Please use the following FAQ as your guide through the application process.

1. What factors determine acceptance?

The Aquinas Admissions Committee looks at the following information when determining acceptance:

  • Essay included with online application

  • Previous year’s final report card

  • Current year’s most recent report card

  • Placement Exams (if entering 6th, 7th, or 9th grade only)

  • Letter of recommendation (if entering 8th, 10th, or 11th grade only)

2. How do I apply to Aquinas?

Students should submit an application through the Aquinas website. When submitting an application, parents will be asked to create an account. This account will allow parents to login and track the progress of their child’s application.

3. How do I submit all of the information for my application?

All of the required information can be submitted through the parent’s online Aquinas account. If parents do not have scanned copies of the required information, hard copies can be faxed to the Aquinas Enrollment Office at (585) 647-8382. If parents need to request the information from their child’s current school, please complete the Records Release Form (PDF) and submit it directly to your child's current school.

4. How long will it take to find out if I am accepted?

Aquinas is now incorporating a rolling admissions process, therefore, after all of the required application materials have been submitted to Aquinas, families should be notified of acceptance via email within two to three weeks.

5. What other opportunities are available to visit Aquinas?
